Happy New Year!!!! It’s hard to believe that a new year has begun. I’m grateful to have a job. But when it’s time to go back to work, lets just say I prefer not to go. 🙂 However, I can say that my time off during the holidays was enjoyable and relaxing. I was able to spend much needed quality time with love ones.
In my last post, I started knitting my Christmas gifts. Well, I am proud to say I finished them by Christmas!! Wow, what an undertaking for me. I naively thought I would be able to knit these gifts, sew my holiday dress and wrap up items for work before vacation. Let’s just say no sewing took place. However, it all worked out. This past holiday was very low key. So, the holiday dress was not needed. So without further ado, here is what I knitted.
This hat and scarf I knitted for the man in my life. He loves it and has been wearing it nonstop. The pattern is Pressed Rib Cap and Muffler by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas. The yarn is Arroyo by Malabrigo Yarns.
I knitted this hat for my cousin. The pattern is Everdeen Beanie by Tanis Gray. I think this pattern is on Ravelry. However, I discovered it in a book I have titled Weekend Hats by Cecily Glowik MacDoanld and Melissa Labarra. The yarn is Silk Blend by Manos Del Uruguay.
I have a very close friend who is like a second Mother to me. I knitted this hat for her. The pattern is Helado by Tanis Gray. I found this pattern on Ravelry. The yarn is also Silk Blend by Manos Del Uruguay.
Well, it’s back to sewing and knitting a sock or two here and there. I entered my sewing room this weekend and organized it for the next project. I started the the wrap dress by Cashmerette. I’m making it out of a brown rayon jersey I’ve had in stash for a while . This will be my muslin. So far, the only adjustment I have made is for my narrow shoulders. I’m purposely not making any height adjustments. I want to see were the wrap will hit me first. Hopefully, this muslin will turn out to be a dress I can actually wear.
Until Next Time…………Keep Sewing!!!
