I recently added my sewing room to “Photos of Your Sewing Space” on patternreview. My sewing room has evolved over the past 2 years. I now have a space that I absolutely love. Currently, I am in the process of moving my pattern collection to a space that will allow for growth. I had them in a dresser that I out grew. So I decided to store them in a elfa drawer system from the container store.

Until next time……keep sewing!!

What a gorgeous room!
Oooo, thanks for sharing the pictures. You have given me so many new ideas. I'm impressed with all the task lighting, because I find that I cannot ever have too much light.
What a wonderful sewing room… It must have taken lot of design, planning and hardwork to get to this stage. Absolutely lovely space!!
I am here from PR and loved all the ideas, etc. And yes, I too have ELFA systems throughout our house. They are the best!
Your sewing room is the most beautiful one I have EVER seen. You should branch out into interior design! Do you know what color you used on the walls? I would love to use a similar shade in my own sewing room.
Lovely Sewing Room…Have you purchased your new Pattern Storage yet? I sew mostly Craft Patterns (Dolls to be exact) I found that the easiest way to store my Patterns is in 3 Ring Binders using Sheet Dividers…I usually find the Binders at Thrift Stores( very inexpensive), or Yard Sales. The sheet protectors are about $4 for 50 count Package at Wal-Mart…I like the fact that I can label the outside of the Binders according to the patterns inside. (Halloween, Christmas, Animals, Annie Dolls etc. ) The Dividers will hold the pattern in a jacket (divider) even cut or used, with the pattern cover or Photo, so you can easily see the pattern you like…since you do Clothing, you might have a binder for ..Skirts, Suits, Blouses, Jackets, Slacks etc. When done with the pattern, fold the pieces & place them back into the divider, then place the Pattern back in the Binder. The Binders fit nicely on a shelving unit for easy accessibility. Just food for thought. Have a nice Day! Sherrie
