It’s been awhile since my last post. I’m not going to bore you with details or excuses. I’m back to blogging and it’s all good. 🙂

Recently, I posted on Instragram a few photos of my trip to New York. So, I thought I would blog about my trip and share my haul.

A little background. I have been fabric shopping in New York’s garment district since 2012. I take this trip every two years with my sewing buddy. We fly in with suitcases and rolling totes ready to pound the pavement. Then we pray our suitcases are under 50lbs. We both made it by very little this year.

Over the years we have put together a list of our favorite stores. This year we added String Thing, Brooklyn General and Joyce Trimmings(recommendation from diaryofsewingfanatic) Here was our list for 2018. New York – Garment District 2018

As always this was a great trip and a wonderful time with my friend. I stuck to my budget and list this year, which felt good. My sewing mojo hasn’t been high of late. But being in New York this weekend really got the juices following. I came home inspired and ready to create.
